A brief history

Tom Fournier began his journey in the trades at a young age, learning carpentry from his Grandfather Tom the 1st. While a teenager, Tom began to take on construction projects for friends, developing a taste for the industry and working with clients. In his 20's, Tom got his start as a drywaller for Jarrett Construction on the San Francisco Bay area, learning mud, tape and many other crucial aspects of general construction. After a strong foundation was built in the bay area, Tom went off on his own to Northern Idaho, to complete his first bathroom remodels. Since 2010, he has been working on perfecting his skills in every trade of general construction and striving to become the best contractor possible. From the San Francisco Bay area, Solano County Ca, Napa, Northern Idaho, Southern California and Texas, Fournier     Remodeling brings A deep knowledge base, strict work ethic, great customer service, commitment to quality and can-do attitude to your jobsite. Fournier Remodeling Guarantees the work you recieve will be free of craftsmanship defects, backed by the integrity that years of word of mouth advertising have reinforced. I do not take on work that i cannot gurantee. In the event that a job i do has an issue, i make sure it is fixed, repaired or sorted out, as soon as possible. If an incident occurs that is a direct result of my work, i own it, take responsibility for it and make it right.

Drywall, 10 years: will be installed with local building code screw schedule, backer applied to patches and small repairs. Mesh tape and mud used for maximum bond, metal corner bead (or vinyl bead for wet locations) in exposed corner edges, percect 90 used for inside corners. Wall Inconsistencies floated out when necessary to give a flat and plumb appearance. 

Textures, 15 years: Available styles include, not limited to: Orange peel, Knockdown, Smooth Wall, Skip Trowel, Sponge, Custom texture combination. all textures applied will have primer applied as part of the repair and texture matched to existing conditions as much as possible.

Framing, 25 years: All framing will be built to lasting, durable standards. Fournier Remodeling overbuild framing to give maximum strength and longevity. Decking, Subfloor, floor joists and ceiling joists will uphold the test of time and the stresses of daily use. 

In-Wall Plumbing and In-Wall Electrical: To be performed by licensed, insured sub contractors, hand picked for integrity and their own liablility.

Waterproofing, 15 years: All tile sub-surfaces requiring waterproofing will be double coated with redgaurd - waterproofing membrane liquid application. Caulked with a 30 year silicone around shower pans and bathtub surfaces that meet up with redgaurd. Everything underneath a tile job will be overly sealed and made certain to be watertight. Exterior walls will have Tyvek or felt paper applid depending on circumstances. Both instances will be sealed  with their respective staples, tapes and sealant.   

Tile 15 years: To be installed level, plumb, clean and chip-free. Groutlines clean and mortar free. Grout installed to stand the test of time, filling the entire grout line without pinholes, bubbles or inconsistency.

     Fournier remodeling guarantees all work to be free of craftsmanship defects and installed materials and procedures to industry and a satisfactory standard. As per Texas state law requires, any in-wall electrical or plumbing will be performed by licensed and insured sub-contractors, costs incurred from subs will be factored into original bid. Some processes reveal unexpected circumstances that require attention before proceeding, leading to change orders outside of the scope discussed above, as not all factors of a job can be seen or accounted for on a job walk. Change orders are to be discussed at time of discovery and agreed upon by Fournier Remolding and homeowner.  Examples such as, but not limited to: Plumbing pre-existing plumbing issues, relocating HVAC vents or ducts, existing framing damage, dry rot, mold, unlevel flooring surfaces, or any pre-existing conditions that need to be addressed before scope of work can commence or continue. 

     Fournier Remodeling offers painting services under contract only. All newly textured drywall surfaces will have primer applied as part of the bid. Unless directly discussed and specified in the bid or original quote, painting beyond primer is a separate charge for surfaces such as, but not limited to: walls, ceilings, baseboard, door trim, crown molding and cabinets. There will be additional fees for requested use of oil-based paint. 

     Materials to be purchased by the homeowner (items not included in materials check): such as but not limited to: tile, grout, tile trim, fixtures (both lighting and plumbing fixtures, glass, vanities, counter tops, doors and any custom ordered items. Materials purchased by Fournier Remodeling with a materials check consist of actual construction and building materials, necessary for the guarantee of highest quality installation and production of the job, as well as maximum cleanliness of jobsite. Fournier Remodeling will make arrangements in almost every case, to pick up customer purchased materials. 

     Payments can be made to Fournier Remodeling via cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Zelle, Venmo or a payment plan may be arranged through QuickBooks. A deposit is required along with a materials allotment prior to commencement of any project over $1,000. Subsequent payments to be arranged per bid. Fournier Remodeling LLC is licensed as a General Contractor in the state of Texas, City of Carrollton and carries a $1 million dollar insurance policy. You can rest assured  that the job will be done right and with the backing of a policy that covers the job.
